If you are seeing decreased performance with your Bissell Steam Mop,
check your filter first. The beads change color to let you know it is
time to replace it, which is usually in three months. The filter does a
very good job with its intended purpose - filter impurities including
calcium. Why is this important? Calcium build up can clog your machine
and break it. Ask me how I know. Don't be like me and wait till water is
leaking all over the floor because your filter is wore out. Change it
as soon as you see the beads go from green and white speckles to a solid
block of blue in color.
It's really necessary to change the filter of your steam mop on a
regular basis. I didn't do it before but now I see the difference. The
mop doesn't leave any streaks anymore on my floors and the result
overall is better.
This was the right filter for my steam mop and it was very to replace the old filter with this one.
Steamer works like new,again.You need to replace this when the color
changes.mine lasted about a year before I had to replace it.
Initially I was concerned about the quality of a replacement part, it
was the same quality of original item. Part arrived as expected, and
deliverly was speedy!
It was a joy to find this product on Amazon for a lower price than
anywhere else. I was in dire need of a new filter (even with using
filtered or distilled water, it still catches "junk" and needs to be
replaced). I will be ordering this again, when needed. I also found
some really great deals on new and different material type cloths for my
steam mop here on Amazon. Yay!
